Dit blijft sindsdien onrustig in een streek. Vanwege een Koerden in de verschillende landen blijft autonomie voorlopig iets het ver weg is. Onafhankelijk betreffende elkaar zijn de Koerdische gewest’s te zwak om alleen te zijn en de overheersende landen Iran, Irak, Turkije en Syrië laten die strategische landstreek’s ook niet ineens kunnen.
